A while ago now I created a Google Adwords account to learn how it worked. I was inspired by Robin Riley at HMRC @robinwryly
I have just had a quick look at progress. For some reason my ad is being clicked on fairly regularly and it is costing me money.
My recent addition of £10 to my account has almost all been spent.
Yikes and why? I am not sure really. I had better get inside the Google interface and do some research.
At this rate the experiment might get a bit expensive.
This classic phrase came up at #teacamp last week so I thought that I might give my own examples.
These are the NAO channels that I have set up on my own initiative, in rough chronlogical order:
- Facebook – graduate recruitment
- Twitter – graduate recruitment
- Facebook corporate, Google+
Q. When you say on your own initiative what do you mean?
A. Using my professional judgement, taking a managed risk and telling others what I had done afterwards.
Q. Have there been any big issues so far?
Q. Are all these channels now taken for granted?
